assignment #8
I have learned alot in this course, professor. Dragan has opened up my mind to where our life stands within technology. I've discovered so many current events that I honestly would have never covered on my own. I have also learned that I am more on the humanities side then I'am science. I really enjoyed the discussions we had in class an definelty was a learning experience
assignment #7
Albert Einstein is the greatest influence in science, he made many question the way life works around us. There have been many scientist to show us so many different views of science. In my opinion science is definitely something to fear. Us humans always fear the unknown. Just because I fear it does not mean that I would not use the new technology that comes out. It's always amazing when you can see how another persons mind works.
assignment #4
As for robots in history I don't feel that people have warmed up to the idea more so then the past yes. Our society is being built on technology. Everything in our daily lives deal will technology, which only makes sense that people have thought of humanizing a robots. People will feel that robots are a less of a threat when they see how robots can help us out. But I believe that robots can also be bad for us because we will lose most of our jobs because why would a business owner hire someone when he can have a robot.

Assignment 3
Hello my fellow classmates, I have decided that for my research paper I will be writing about women in science. It's interesting how I was intrigued by this topic. Well for instance It just so happens that I am taking a biology class in this semester and This woman named Rosalind Franklin came up. My professor explained to me how she was the first woman to almost receive a noble prize. She is the reason we know that DNA is a double helix and that come together to make us who we are. Later on in her life she passed away and this man named Francis Crick stole her idea as is speculated. I want to write this paper to unravel the true facts.

Assignment #2
Popular science today in media brings out the different stereotypes that scientist aren't only geeky, for example one of my favorite show's are Dexter. Dexter is a very complex character, by day he's a blood splatter analyst but yet by night he's a serial killer and typically those two stereotypes are not usually mixed together. When in reality you would not be cheering on a serial killer and hoping for him to never get caught, it is amazing how being in someone's foot steps how you can accept who they are even if though what there doing is wrong. I think that media today is trying to appeal to how science is modern and the way they show that is by portraying characters like Dexter and these CSI show's and True Blood and all the supernatural shows that are coming out. I believe that popular science inspire us and also threaten us. Science inspires us because of all the new technology that comes out everyday and pushes us people for the next best thing. Since us humans are highly curious creatures we want to know how things work and we always need a reason why. Science can also be threatening to us because we all fear the unexpected.

Welcome to my Blog =) assignment #1
Hello Classmates, My name is Sthefanne Espinal and I' am in my last semester at Laguardia and my Major is Liberal Arts & media studies. I hope to one day be a screenwriter for television and film. As for social science and humanities I can say I fall right in between both, I can't really define as one or the other. Mainly I would lean toward humanities because I'm very artistic, I enjoy reading writting poems all the mediums of art. To a certain extent I can deal with science but only technology like computer's but as for chemistry and biology, lets just say I'm not a rocket scientist.
